The fashion trend Hollywood is loving right now? Wedding dresses! Just this week, three stylish stars wore bridal fashions — and not down the aisle. From Shakira's music video outfit to Blake Lively's wedding-worthy movie costume and Anna Camp's magazine shoot, we're breaking down each celebrities' unexpected white look:
Shakira may be happily unmarried to boyfriend Gerard Piqué, with whom she had her son Milan last year, but the new music video for her song "Empire" shows another side of relationships. The Voice coach released the dramatic video on Tuesday, which depicts her as a woman who almost says "I do" to the wrong man. At the beginning, she's about to walk down the aisle wearing a gorgeous strapless tulle wedding dress. But as the church doors open, she gets a serious case of cold feet: She panics, drops her bouquet, and runs out on her groom. Her dress and the church then catch flames! The never-married songstress clearly has some strong feelings about tying the knot (she dated ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rua for 11 years), but she certainly looks the part of a blushing bride in this video.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had their super-secret wedding in South Carolina in September 2012, though the former Gossip Girl star's wedding dress has remained a mystery. The only gown facts we know about the gown: It was designed by Marchesa and it featured hints of blush pink. We did get to see images of Lively in a different wedding dress on the set of her new movie The Age of Adaline this week (see the photos here!). In the movie, she plays a woman who stops aging after suffering a near-fatal accident in the 20th century. As a result, her character's wedding-day look is delightfully retro. The long-sleeved dress has a lace-embroidered bodice and is accented with pretty pin curls. It's not the bridal look Lively wore for her real wedding, but we absolutely love it for a vintage-inspired soiree.
Meanwhile, Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp is giving us a classic wedding look on the cover of the newest issue of Garden & Gun magazine. The South Carolina native is a gorgeous model for the southern lifestyle publication — her strapless tulle wedding dress and cowboy boots naturally complement her tousled blonde hair. It's fun, flirty, and perfectly southern.
