It's hard to think of a more charmed couple than Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen. They're smoking hot, successful, have two adorable children, and look completely in love every time they step out together. Bündchen did a shoutout on Instagram with the heartwarming wedding-day picture below, and we're joining her in looking back on the highlights of their stunning nuptials. Here, our favorite elements:
1. A Delightful Double Feature: Both Brady and Bündchen come from large, close-knit families—he has three sisters, and she has five!—so their first wedding, on Feb. 26, was all about family. They officially tied the knot that day in Santa Monica in front of their clans and close friends after a month-long engagement and then held a destination wedding for 25 guests at Bündchen's Costa Rican house a month and a half later. These days, celebs like George Lucas and Matt Damon make two-part weddings seem like the norm, but Tom and Gisele kicked off the tradition with aplomb.
2. The Kids (And Dogs) Are All Right: Brady and Bündchen included family members big and small for both of their romantic celebrations. During their Santa Monica wedding, Bündchen wore Dolce & Gabbana—and so did her three dogs, who sported D&G lace collars for the event! When they jetted down to Costa Rica, they brought Brady's one-and-a-half year old son from a previous relationship. Brady reportedly carried his son throughout the day, making sure to include him in all of the festivities. We told you, this couple is all about family!
3. Change of a Dress: Like any good bride, Bündchen took advantage of her tropical wedding location and reportedly tanned on the beach in several different bikinis on the day before her wedding. The next day, she sported a designer sheath dress (see it here!) and a 10-foot-long veil, and carried a bouquet of white orchids as she walked down the aisle. Simple, romantic, and utterly timeless!
4. His-and-Hers Parties: For their Costa Rican fiesta, the twosome had a four-day celebration that included girls' and guys' gatherings the morning of the wedding. Brady hosted a bachelor's brunch for his groomsmen at the Milarepa hotel, while Bündchen entertained her female guests and went over last-minute details at her home. We love the idea of building in activities for destination wedding guests for the entirety of the trip! It lets everyone get in quality time with the bride and groom and certainly makes the long plane ride worth it.
