Marchesa New York Fashion Week Looks

The runway shows of New York Fashion Week just wrapped, and we have to say, the Fall 2014 ready-to-wear collections were filled with inspiring ideas for brides-to-be who are searching for their wedding dresses.

Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa showed a beautifully embellished collection of looks (above) inspired by the Scottish Highlands. Corsetry, intricate lace and draping featuring Chantilly lace and fox fur were used in line with classic Marchesa glamour. The white gowns above—especially that tiered tulle, shown with a teeny poof purse—would be standouts for winter brides.

Kaufmanfranco, known for sleek lines and shapes, showed a luxurious collection of flattering wrap dresses in a silhouette-sculpting compact fabric that would flatter many body shapes (above). A white column dress with two illusion windows on the décolleté and high on the waist, fitting for a super-fashionable bride, led a trail of periwinkle blue dresses perfect for bridesmaids.

Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch showed a beautiful collection inspired by vintage lingerie (hello, honeymoon romance!) which included the most spectacular white dress of crocheted lace (above). Completely romantic and entirely refined, this veteran designer includes couture detail in his ready-to-wear collection, and the high-necked gown would be an unforgettable bridal option.

Delpozo New York Fashion Week Looks

In line with the concept of couture techniques in ready-to-wear, Josep Font, the designer of editor-favorite Delpozo, created a whimsical collection with strong architectural shapes rendered in light-as-air fabrics. A delicate white sweater atop a cream a-line skirt would be particularly suited to a winter bride, as were two show-ending looks in blush and muted blue organza with copper-colored geometric embroidery.

Stay tuned as we continue our fashion week coverage in London, Milan and Paris—we'll bring you the best looks from the runway to inspire you for your wedding day!
