After a whirlwind romance—we're talking three months of dating and a little more than one month engaged—the Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco and tennis pro (slash major hottie) Ryan Sweeting are married. Well, not exactly: Ellen DeGeneres surprised her celeb guest this morning with a hilarious faux shotgun wedding.

During her interview on Ellen this morning, Cuoco couldn't stop gushing about her new beau. She told the talk show host that by day two she knew that "this was it!" The actress even dished to DeGeneres that she was reluctant to meet her man, whom friends urged her to date, but once he came to Los Angeles, he never left. As Cuoco says during her one-on-one with DeGeneres, the two lovebirds are still on their first date (cue collective awww).

Of course, it wouldn't be an Ellen DeGeneres interview without some major surprises, and this one playfully riffed on the pair's unusually quick courtship. With her show's Internet-ordained writer, a secret floral arbor, a tennis ball tiara and tennis ball pearl necklace in tow, DeGeneres rushes Cuoco (who is coincidentally wearing white) into a spontaneous wedding ceremony. She even offers up musical guest, The Wanted, as the wedding reception's entertainment. Watch below as Sweeting nervously questions the marriage's legality and the two laugh their way through the rushed vows:

Married or not, we're really excited to see what dress Cuoco, a perennial red carpet knockout, will wear come the big day. We're waiting with bated breath!
