Watch: The Cutest Proposal We've Seen All Week (Scratch That, All Month)

Proposals

Of all the headlines that caught our attention this week—Kaley Cuoco Marries Fiance in Televised Shotgun Wedding, Bride-to-Be Jennifer Aniston is Turns Heads with Her New Cropped Locks, and The State of Illinois Green Lights Same-Sex Marriage—we couldn't let the day end without calling some attention to this adorable puppy proposal. Yes, that's right. We the words used "puppy" and "proposal" in the same sentence. But wait, it gets better.

Ed, a man from London, brought his girlfriend, Alex, to New York for a vacation. Unbeknownst to Alex, like many men on a romantic trip, Ed was planning to propose—with 16 adorably wrinkled, sniffling pugs by his side! The Brit reached out to New York City's Pug Meetup group (yes, that exists and yes, we may have to join) to borrow a few pups for the ultimate romantic gesture. According to Barkpost, Alex doesn't even own a pug, she just loves the breed enough to inspire her boyfriend's act of love. Thankfully for Ed, the group offered up 16 pups for when he popped the question. The pugs didn't show up without some adorable accessories, of course! As Ed professes his love to Alex on Central Park's Bow Bridge, the gaggle of adorable dogs flood the scene with huge, heart-shaped balloons tied around their collars. Talk about love!

With that many pups, and sweet words such as "I don't know a single person who doesn't think you're absolutely fantastic...I love you so much," it should come as no surprise that Alex says "yes!" (I mean, who wouldn't?) Watch the video above and tell us your favorite proposal stories on Facebook!
