Ever since news of Savannah Guthrie's engagement surfaced this summer, we've kept our eyes peeled for any wedding planning developments. Unfortunately, like Lauren Conrad and Kate Hudson, the Today show anchor is taking her time prepping for her big day. She and fiancé Michael Feldman want to enjoy being engaged, despite pressure from family and friends.
"We had a couple of engagement parties. Matt [Lauer] threw us one in New York and [NBC's chief White House correspondent] Chuck Todd threw us one in Washington," Guthrie told People. "We were just enjoying the moment and the thrill of being engaged. Now we need to actually plan, so we are working on it."
"Everyone including our mothers are wondering when the heck we are going to get married," she continued. "They are just so happy and excited for us."
Succumbing to her loved ones' excitement, Guthrie says she and her future hubby are in the same boat—they're a bit overwhelmed by the options and planning process. She did say, however, that, "He [Feldman] will probably want to be in charge of the music, and I could be in charge of flowers and doilies or whatever the girls are supposed to be in charge of."
Whenever the two decide to tie the knot, we hope Guthrie goes for one of the fantasy designer wedding dresses we commissioned for her! Personally, we'd love to see her rock a romantic lace fit-and-flare like the Theia one, below, or something more classic with a high neck, like the tiered ball gown that Rivini dreamed up.
