And the '90s kids go wild: Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen—erm, we mean Leighton Meester and Adam Brody—are rumored to be engaged after only ten months of dating!
Star magazine, along with Huffington Post and other outlets, is reporting that a source close to the OC and Gossip Girl alumni power couple says, "Leighton and Adam are crazy about each other and have talked about getting married eventually. But she had no idea he would propose so soon! It was the surprise of her life and she's ecstatic!"
It's like the two best 2000s TV shows mashed up, fell in love, and are now becoming a hybrid fairy tale. What more could a fan ask for? We're feeling way too many feelings at this point, some of which are ecstatic, angry, and inspired. Ecstatic because this is the duo of our dreams. Our pre-teen crush plus our high school girl crush joining forces to be the cutest couple ever? Un-freaking-believable. Angry, because someone is taking Brody off the market, thus crushing our chances with the early aughts dreamboat. And inspired, because, if the real people behind adorkable Seth and posh princess Blair can make it happen, true love must exist.

Now we're wondering how he popped the question. Is it too much to ask that his proposal resembled Gossip Girl or The OC's most heart-stopping moments? Did Brody hang upside down from his roof wearing a Spiderman mask (see below)? Maybe their romance mirrors that of Chuck and Blair's, a torrid ten-month back-and-forth affair culminating in a Harry Winston sparkler. If not, we can only hope that Brody got down on one knee someplace beautiful and promised to make her happier than Blair Waldorf in Paris.
Chuck Ed Westwick doesn't crash the future nuptials, declare his undying love, and beg Meester to run away with him (Or maybe Summer Rachel Bilson, Brody's on- and off-screen ex, will burst into the chapel with her beloved plastic sidekick, Princess Sparkles).
If you need a reminder as to why theirs is the ultimate love story, check out the pair's most epic, dramatic, and tear-jerking scenes from their respective shows, below:
We cannot, repeat cannot, wait for their wedding, which may happen next summer in Southern California (Sandy and Kirsten Cohen's pool house, anyone?). We're chomping at the bit for any wedding details. Will Meester wear a Vera Wang wedding dress or an Elie Saab gown like she did on Gossip Girl? Will Seth's plastic horse Captain Oats be the best man? We really, really hope so!
