Jennifer Aniston Chopped Off Her Hair! What This Might Mean For Her Wedding

Let's be honest, we've been looking to Jennifer Aniston for hair-spiration ever since "The Rachel"—the caramel-colored, shoulder-length locks she rocked on Friends all those years ago. And just as we closely watched Rachel's hair masterfully transform season after season, we still keep our eyes on Aniston's oh-so-wedding-worthy hair at each and every of her red carpet appearances.

Well, it looks like Aniston just cut off a whole six inches of those sought-after, silky locks. The Hollywood star and bride-to-be is now sporting an edgy, asymmetrical bob like the one she had way back in 2002 (see the chopped locks, above). This brings us to a major question: What does this change mean for her and Justin Theroux's much-anticipated wedding?

If her quotes on it are any indication, there's no connection at all. "It's short! It's at my jawline and a little shorter in the back," Aniston told Popsugar (where you can also see shots of her brand-new bob). "I was just ready for a change. I was ready for something new, to get it out of my face, so I could have a bit of an easier go at it."

While we applaud risk-taking, we're a little wary of what the new 'do implies about her love life—after all, Miley chopped her hair right before she and Liam Hemsworth split. Is Aniston facing the same fate?

We sure hope not! And if the wedding will be happening anytime soon, we could see Aniston rocking a retro-waved bob, sleek chin-length style, or stylish headpiece. After all, if any bride with short hair could work it, it's Aniston.

According to a conversation with Elle UK, Aniston chopped her locks because of a reaction to a certain treatment. "My hair went through a phase," she told the publication. "I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it." Like most brides, Jen will have to make sure to take care of her hair with the best nourishing oils out there. All we have to say to Jen (and other brides-to-be): happy hydrating!
