In Case You Missed It! Watch Georgetown Cupcakes' Co-Owners and Celebrity Wedding Planner Sharon Sacks Hang Out On Air!

Cakes

This week's Google+ Hangout focused on wedding desserts and planning advice from our favorite bakers Katherine Kallinis Berman and Sophie Kallinis Lamontagne from TLC's DC Cupcakes and co-owners of Georgetown Cupcake and celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks of Sacks Productions.

The Georgetown Cupcake girls discussed the latest trends in cupcake flavors (Royal Wedding-inspired English fruitcake is a current hit) and said that they've updated their cupcake menu with flavors such as pumpkin spice, caramel apple, and white chocolate peppermint for the holiday season.

What of wedding planning? Sacks has done weddings and planned events for A-list celebrities and personalities such as President Bush, Al Gore, Prince Andrew, Michael Jordan, and even Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Sharon also planned Georgetown Cupcakes co-owner Katherine's wedding! During the Hangout, both explained the wedding planner's role in making everything go smoothly on your wedding day. "If you don't have a wedding planner or cannot afford one for your wedding, hire a day-of coordinator," Sharon advised.

In addition to their expertise on planning your wedding and to finding the right desserts, all three shared insightful advice on how to stay sane on your wedding day. To hear more heartfelt advice about how to handle wedding day stress and for more wedding dessert inspiration, check out the full interview in the video above.
