Exclusive! "Marry Me" Singer Jason Derulo May Be Closer to Proposing to Jordin Sparks Than Ever Before!

Celebrity

When a shirtless Jason Derulo takes the hand of his girlfriend, fellow singer and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, in his music video for "Marry Me," Derulo's new hit single off his forthcoming EP, we need to do two things: Take a moment to adjust the temperature in the room, and ask ourselves, "Is this really happening?" After all, Derulo and Sparks have been dating for more than a year and also collaborated on songs like "It Girl" and "Vertigo." Their steamy music video exchange, combined with some juicy details we gathered during our recent Google+ Hangout On Air with Jason himself, begs the question, "Is a proposal on the horizon?"

Although both Derulo and Sparks have been noncommittal when it comes to confirming rumors that they are engaged or even planning to get married, all signs point to the likelihood that they'll tie the knot. Let's examine the evidence, shall we?

In last week's Google+ Hangout On Air, Derulo told Brides exclusively that "when the time is right," he would propose. (If that doesn't sound like an excuse to start designing your dream engagement ring, Ms. Sparks, we don't know what does!)

Although an official engagement announcement is still under wraps, Derulo isn't shy about revealing relationship details to the press. "On my right elbow there's a 'more than' sign and 'yesterday,'" he told The Daily Dish. The ink "is a matching tattoo which Jordin and I both got. It means 'I'll love you more than yesterday,' and we always strive to be more than yesterday."

If that's any indication of how their marriage vows will read, we're headed for an utterly poetic, totally tear-jerking, and completely romantic wedding ceremony.

During our Google+ Hangout On Air Derulo also divulged that "some of the best moments of the music video are cutaway shots when the camera wasn't supposed to be rolling." Sparks returned the love by co-writing Ariana Grande's "The Way," a song she penned to be about him.

"I was just going off what I was feeling. I was super inspired by him and it just all kind of came tumbling out," said Sparks. We also love how this couple is generous with their affectionate Instagram postings of each other.

We hope that this duo can officially make their announcement soon! We're psyched to start fantasizing about another celebrity wedding dress. We're envisioning a sleek, modern Amsale wedding dress for the future Mrs. Derulo.
