When People crowned Adam Levine as its newest Sexiest Man Alive on Tuesday, Levine casually broke the news to fiancée Behati Prinsloo. The Voice judge told People he shared the information with an off-the-cuff comment: "Hey, how ya doing? Let's go to dinner tonight. And People magazine says I'm the Sexiest Man Alive."
Though he was ever so nonchalant, her reaction was much more spontaneous. "Laughter, a lot of laughter," Levine said of her response. "She's keeping me humble."

How's that for realistic support? Most women probably think their boyfriend, fiancé, or husband is quite sexy, but very few can legitimately claim their beau is the Sexiest Man Alive. We doubt that Prinsloo actually disagrees with Levine's newest honor; she was probably (and understandably) surprised. Regardless, there's nothing wrong with a little lighthearted ribbing—it's preparation for their future as a married couple.
How does Levine's story compare with that of Channing Tatum, last year's Sexiest Man? It turns out he also had a comical experience telling his wife about his newest title.
According to Jenna Dewan-Tatum, the Magic Mike star told her as they washed skunk smell off of their dogs.

"Our dogs were being skunked every other night for about two months straight, so this was a very normal occurrence, to be kneeling in front of the bathtub washing our dogs," Jenna Dewan Tatum said at the time. "But he was like, 'Oh, by the way, I was named People's Sexiest Man Alive...' "
Dewan-Tatum was amused at his timing, asking him, "Is that not the strangest way to tell me this news?"
Unlike Prinsloo, her shock immediately turned to loving pride. "I think it's an honor, because it's a great league of people that have been given this honor before him," she said. "It says he's achieved so much in his career and in his life that makes this award a possibility. But he's always been the Sexiest Man Alive to me."
OK, so Dewan-Tatum's reaction is much more romantic. Still, we can't resist giggling at Prinsloo's initial disbelief. Let's just hope she doesn't have the same reaction during their wedding ceremony—or that she didn't laugh when he proposed!
