First comes engagement, then comes baby! At least that's what's happening for Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis. The pair, who have been engaged since January, announced yesterday that they are expecting their first child together.

"They are incredibly happy," a source told People. "They're very excited to welcome a new member into their family."

The unexpected news follows some hints that they already had babies on the brain. "He's so good with kids," Wilde told Marie Claire earlier this year. "I'm open-minded about how many, but three is like a little party."

Does this exciting news mean that the comely couple will take a page out of Jessica Simpson's book and postpone their wedding until post-baby? Or will she pull a Drew Barrymore and be a blushing bride with a baby bump?

We're placing our money on the latter. In July's issue of InStyle, Wilde dished on her bridesmaid dresses, firmly stating that she wanted to avoid "that tortured tradition of forcing them to wear a ridiculous dress they'll never wear again. Instead, she revealed, Monique Lhuillier was creating custom dresses for her attendants. "They'll have a real creation tailored for each of them," she added. "They can dye it black or purple and wear it forever."

With those details locked down, she may want to press on full steam ahead. Lhuillier is also designing a wedding dress for Wilde, which means she can do some last-minute alterations to fit her burgeoning belly. Whatever the timing, we can't wait to see what she'll wear to walk down the aisle. Wilde has some of the best modern, alternative style out there, and we'd love to see her pull off an avant-garde wedding dress.

Though Wilde and Sudeikis may surprise us all and have a Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard-esque quickie ceremony after they welcome their bundle of joy, we can't imagine the lovey-dovey couple turning down the chance to proclaim their mutual affection.
