Each week we'll be chronicling the ups and downs on Bravo's I Dream of Nene: The Wedding. From wedding planner snafus to prenup negotiations and bridesmaidzilla blow-outs, tune into our recaps of the Real Housewives of Atlanta star's road to the altar.
We're only four episodes in, and already this season of I Dream of Nene: The Wedding has been chock-full of juicy drama—from a therapy session with her step children that unearthed the blended family's complicated issues, to dealing with her feuding bridal party, or as Nene dubbed them, "Bridesmaidzillas." Last night's episode, "Cancel the Wedding!" wasn't short of hiccups. Reality-star-turned-sitcom-regular Nene Leakes came to a head with her wedding planner, Tiffany. As expected, the sassy Leakes turned her lemons into some hilarious lemonade, but not without some tough decisions along the way!
After many missed phone calls and non-existent event design sketches, Nene was fed up with her laid-back planner (who, Leakes so unabashedly emphasizes, happened to be her third choice). The Bravolebrity faced a tough decision: Ditch her planner five weeks before the wedding, or stick with someone she knows won't achieve her self-described over-the-top, fairytale-scale gold- and silver-themed wedding extravaganza for 400 guests, celebrities included. After all, this is Nene and Gregg's second marriage to one another (the pair divorced, realized what they were missing, and decided to re-marry)—it deserves a big celebration!
When Nene was finally able to get a hold of Tiffany for a meeting (for which she was late) the Glee regular brought up some important points. She needs someone as responsible and detail-oriented as she, who will act professional and communicative, and who can make her dream come true (bridal rule of thumb: do what makes you happy!). While Tiffany responds that she's handled some large-scale productions (a Pokémon event and Michael Jackson in Egypt), none seemed to sync with Nene's ideal, blingy-glam big day.

Tensions ran so high that Nene's ex-husband/fiancé Gregg suggested they cancel the wedding, go to the justice of the peace, and be done with it. After the big blowout, Tiffany cut off all communication with Nene. In response, Nene consulted her bridesmaids and chose fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey's wedding planner Tony Conway instead.
Upon arrival at Tony's office, decked out in hanging crystals, gilded floral arrangements, and a huge inspiration board, Nene knows Tony is the one to see her half million-dollar budget come to flawless fruition. Like Gregg's and her marriage, it seems that the second time is the charm!
