Well, this deserves a major mazel! With Lisa Vanderpump and Giggy—Vanderpump's impossibly well-dressed Pomeranian—by his side, Andy Cohen (TV producer turned host turned ordained minister) married New Jersey couple Kristie and Matt last night on Watch What Happens Live.
For eight weeks leading up to the wedding, WWHL viewers voted on every aspect of the affair, from the decadent diamond-and-pearl-embellished wedding cake that Cohen described as "just like Tamra Barney's" to the Bravolebrity maid of honor Vanderpump. Judging by the awestruck look on their faces (the bride whispered "I love you" to Vanderpump before she said so to her groom), this viewer-elected pair got the wedding of their dreams, complete with a bedazzled gown with a sheer lace bodice and sleek tux, courtesy of Kleinfeld, and a wedding present: a Fiat 500L.
To prep for the live "I do," Cohen decked out his clubhouse in hanging crystals, bells, feathery bouquets, and floral arrangements. Like any good WWHL episode, the night began with a drinking game and featured surprise Bravolebrity guests Sonja Morgan and Jenni Pulos playing Cohen-approved games ("Toss That Bouquet!").
The highlight for us? Cohen's tailor-made wedding ceremony. "Beloved family, friends, marketing executives," Cohen began, before turning to Matt. "Do you take this woman to be your real housewife, to keep her love tank full, and to have her back if anyone ever throws shade upon her?"
After I do's were exchanged, the ring bearer Giggy delivered the rings. Kristie and Matt promised to take the other's wedding band as a token of their affection "because life isn't all diamonds and rosé."
Post-nuptials, the couple threw bouquets at Bravo's favorite bachelorette, Real Housewife of New York Sonja Morgan. The evening ended with a smashed glass and an original rap from Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis's Jenni Pulos (sample lyrics: "I do, I do, I heard, you heard, it's true!"). Congrats to the lucky couple! We hope your days are filled with enduring love, plenty of shotskis, and many more mazels.
