Dax Shepard recently told Jimmy Kimmel that after he and longtime love Kristen Bell said "I do" at the Beverly Hills Clerk's Office, the employees gifted the pair with a wedding cake. "It was just Kristen and I at this lonely courthouse so they brought us this cake afterwards," Shepard said on Jimmy Kimmel Live. But, unlike the cute, congratulatory confection we'd expect, the humorous staffers presented a treat that read, "The World's Worst Wedding." Defying expectations yet again, Shepard told Kimmel he loved it. "How many people can say they threw 'The World's Worst Wedding?'" the Parenthood star exclaimed.

The staff may have thought it was the "worst" wedding, but it was just right for Bell and Shepard. The couple, who waited nearly four years to tie the knot (Bell publicly proclaimed they wouldn't get hitched until all of their same-sex friends could, too) sound overjoyed about their low-key wedding, which cost a mere $142 (gas to and from the courthouse, included).

Just last night, Dax told Kimmel that he's the "luckiest man in America" to be able to call the Veronica Mars star his wife. And he isn't the only lovestruck member of the marriage. Bell told People Saturday that she's "still on a high... I can officially call him my husband, which is pretty awesome."

We think both their marriage and simple wedding ceremonyis pretty awesome, too. After all, the most important part of your wedding day is marrying the love of your life, and this celebrity couple clearly did just that.
