You may try to fight it, but you can't deny it: It's officially Kimye week. Four days after her engagement ring from Kris Humphries sold for $620,000 in auction, Kim Kardashian accepted a marriage from Kanye West, and on her 33rd birthday no less.
And of course there were cameras rolling. Thanks an elaborate production crew, we can all sit back and watch just Kanye West asked his bride-to-be for her hand in marriage. Plus, we can get a closer look at that whopping 15-carat diamond engagement ring!
We have to give props to West for coordinating a spectacle, complete with fireworks, a full orchestra, and then a full-on, down-on-one-knee proposal. After a clearly shocked Kim says yes, the orchestra breaks into a rendition of "Knock You Down," a song featuring West, and a group of friends and family rushes the baseball field at AT&T Park in San Francisco. The videographer may not have gotten a good close-up, but they did capture "Pleeease Marry Meee" on the Jumbotron.
At the end of the video, it's clear that E! cameramen captured the whole moment, which means we'll get an even better look at the event on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
On Tuesday night, West continued the love fest by giving a shout out to Kardashian during a concert in San Jose, Calif. As his song "Bound 2," which is about his relationship with his fiancé, began to play, West shouted, "You know what song this is, right? I want to sing this song to the birthday girl that's back there right now, my fiancée."
It was a fittingly grand way to publicly refer to her as his fiancée for the first time! Knowing the Kardashians, we'll continue getting inundated with details about her wedding dress, the bridesmaid dresses, the wedding venue, and more. Remember the last time she got married?
