When organizing your rehearsal dinner, it's important to be mindful of guests' preference, whether it's drink and hors d'oeuvres or the party location. Though the tradition is much less formal than it used to be, some family or friends might not love that change in custom. Our wedding etiquette experts are here to answer your rehearsal dinner questions in our daily post.

My daughter wants to have a casual rehearsal dinner (pizza and bowling) but my husband is worried about his parents' comfort. What should we do?

While the "dinner" can be anything from a five-course meal at a restaurant to, yes, pizza and bowling, it's the host's responsibility to think of guests' comfort. In your case, try this compromise: Have a casual supper right after the rehearsal for close family and friends, followed by bowling for anyone who's up for a few frames.
