She deals with the special fabrics and complex constructions of wedding gowns more regularly than your local tailor, whose expertise lies with everyday clothes. A regular tailor may save you money up-front, but bear in mind that if you're not happy with his work, it will cost even more to take it to another tailor—or your salon—to fix.
