Freshly relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, Ryan met Lindsey through mutual friends who "thought we would be perfect together," Lindsey recalls. Turns out, their friends were right.
Two years later, as Lindsey ran past her childhood home, she spotted a suit-clad Ryan standing on the stoop, clutching a bouquet and their freshly-groomed Labrador. "He was supposed to be in another city that morning, so I knew something was about to happen," Lindsey confesses about the proposal. "It was an amazing feeling."
Lindsey and Ryan envisioned a "secret garden motif" for their wedding deep in the mountains of Aspen, Colorado, the bride says.
But while their wedding was filled with rustic flare, the bride's gown was anything but country. Lindsey paired her Amsale one-shoulder sheath with a shear cathedral-length Toni Federici veil and Jimmy Choo pumps—a combination that exuded urban chic.
White bouquets of ranunculus, roses and peonies popped against the bold-colored bridesmaids dresses.
From the deck of The Little Nell, Aspen Mountain served as the dramatic backdrop for the couple's outdoor reception.
An arbor made of branches, orange and green blooms and dripping Spanish moss was the centerpiece of the couple's ceremony site.

Cloud 9 Rock String Quartet played during the ceremony and into the cocktail hour.
Ryan wore custom made rose gold cufflinks by Nicholas Varney Jewels. The accessories were molded in the shape of the couple's Labrador, Rudd.
The matron of honor—donning her tangerine Roland Mouret dress—helped to shield the couple from the storm as they exchanged their vows.
Lindsey also wore diamond, pearl and mood stone earrings from Nicholas Varney Jewels and carried an heirloom handkerchief bearing her new monogram.
The stunning view of Aspen Mountain joined the guests indoors for the couple's reception inside The Little Nell.
Guests found their seat assignments displayed on a mesmerizing black and white board with diamond-patterned details.
The couple's color palette of orange, green and white continued from the ceremony and into the reception space, which was decorated in color-coordinated fabrics that hung from the ceiling.
The tallest centerpieces were made from branches dripping with Spanish moss.
Design Works also used bird cages and terrariums in their colorful arrangements of orange and cream-colored blooms and succulents.
The head table took on an eclectic note with mismatched chairs, a mix of plush white arm chairs and Chivari seats covered in burlap.
Lindsey and Ryan's wedding menu included free-formed ravioli, braised short ribs and New York strip steak and wild-caught mountain trout.
Guests were also treated to a late-night snack.
From small woven baskets, guests could scoop out their own favors—a mix of fresh herbs to take home in Kraft paper bags.
The couple's dog, Rudd, was depicted in the groom's cake, while their wedding cake was a towering white confection with lace and bow details.
Lindsey and Ryan danced to Songbird by Fleetwood Mac, played by Over Soul'd.
The couple chose classics when it came time to dance with their parents. Lindsey and her father danced to I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash, while Ryan and his mother swayed to My Girl by The Temptations.
A sommelier attended the reception and served guests a variety of libations.
To cap off their wedding celebration, Lindsey and Ryan also held at farewell brunch at The Little Nell.
