As we do each season, Brides asked designers showing Fall 2013 collections to grant us a sketched sneak peek at the gowns soon to hit New York runways. (Afterward, it's fun to compare the sketches to the real-life gowns they become.) Here, the design team behind Watters takes us to Miami for an exuberant destination wedding:
Describe your collection in a word:
Brioso—which is Spanish means "lively, high-spirited, proud, and zestful"
What inspired this season's theme?
We were inspired by a trip to Miami: The colors, architecture, natural scenery, and the people with their exuberant zest for life!
What is unique about this sketch in particular?
Besides the fact that the dress is pale pink with rose-gold beads and sequins, what makes the dress so unique is the embroidery—we love the way the strips of taffeta dance when the bride walks; it reminds us of sea grass being swept by the gentle tides of the ocean.
Check back daily to see more sneak peek sketches from our favorite bridal fashion designers, and browse more of our favorite looks from last season's Bridal Fashion Week.
