Faithful Brides readers who've already cracked open their July issues know about the crazy-amazing Mally Beauty sweepstakes contained within. The net-net: Some extremely lucky lady will not only win Mally's new Mega Bridal Kit (below, and chock-full of so many Mally goodies it's almost criminal), she'll also get a private makeup tutorial with a member of Mally's ace team, and $5,000 to put toward wedding expenses. Yes, you read that right: $5,000.

To celebrate the whole she-bang, Mally's invited me to be her guest for a live UStream chat at 8 PM ET on July 28, so tune on in!

But first, I'd love to share the QVC superstar's makeup tips for every bride, plus famous women Mally thinks have looked especially gorge sailing down that aisle. Hint: It's all about false lashes and a certain princess who lives across The Pond.

Brides: What do you feel is most important for brides to think about when they're planning their big-day look? There's a huge temptation to switch it up, and go all out.

Mally: When doing your makeup for your wedding, remember that these photos and memories will be with you forever! You want to look back and see you in the pictures. So while it may be tempting to really go for something different with your makeup, in my opinion, it's best to stick with your normal routine. If you want to add a little more drama, try adding some eyeliner to the inner rims, or go for a sheer, bright lip.

Brides: In general, what textures work best for weddings? In other words, to shimmer or not to shimmer?

Mally: Shimmer can totally be appropriate for weddings; just make sure to apply it strategically, and not all over. Bring out your naturally beautiful bone structure by highlighting the cheekbones, down the center of the nose, the tip of the chin, and the inner corners of the eyes. I love a little bit of a shimmery eyeshadow too; it will catch the light and help make your eyes sparkle.

Brides: How have you seen bridal makeup evolve over the years?

Mally: It's gotten a lot softer.

Brides: Well that's good news! On the famous front, which brides do you think have looked especially beautiful?

Mally: Kate Middleton! A smokey eye with a nude lip is one of my all-time favorite looks, and I love that her skin had a hint of warmth to it. I also loved Grace Kelly. She looked like she was straight out of a fairytale! And finally, Gwen Stefani. I loved everything from her amazing dress to her beautiful makeup. I love that she went with her signature bold lip. That just screamed Gwen. She's the queen of personal style.

Brides: How did you do your makeup for your own wedding? Anything you'd do differently today?

Mally: I'm proud to say that I did my makeup for my wedding similarly to how I do it today. I chose soft eyes and lips and not too much color. Of course, I wore false eyelashes! I think this helps every bride's eyes pop.
