We've seen it all here at the
Brides offices:
unique wedding favors, gorgeous wedding shoes, some
bizarre groom's cakes, and the list goes on. We still love stumbling upon particularly special "aww" inducing ideas, which is exactly what we found over on
Rose à la Mode. This couple definitely took the non-traditional route to their May nuptials. Think: Pie instead of cake, paper bag-printed programs and guests throwing pom poms instead of rice. Our favorite? During the ceremony the couple tied a fisherman's knot to symbolize their love. Apparently the knot is so strong the rope will break before it comes undone. Love that.
