I'm a little biased about Paris--it's where I honeymooned. And red wine, butter, cheese, and champagne are my four food groups. So even though The Artist won best picture at the Oscars, Midnight in Paris still gets my vote. The movie was shot in two of my favorite old-school hotels: Le Bristol and Le Meurice. Le Bristol is where Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams' characters stayed—specifically in the Panoramic Suite. (P.S., I'm obsessed with that fluffy white robe with the lime green unicorn logo that McAdams models about 17 times!). From $1,129.

And that swanky cocktail party scene with the Eiffel Tower in the background? That's the rooftop of Le Meurice, right across from the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens. I stayed there last year and fell in love with our Louis XVI-style room—it's like a Versailles fantasy, come to hotel life. We saw Harrison Ford strut through the Philippe Starck-designed lobby, a people-watching place, even at breakfast. The scrambled eggs with sausage were insanely delicious, and a welcome treat (er hangover cure) after a night out. From $730.
