Looking like a triumphant goddess in a Grecian Marchesa gown, Viola Davis ruled the night at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards, taking home the statue for female actor in a leading role. Embellished with a frieze of copper embroidery across an asymmetrical bodice, Davis's draped silk-chiffon gown evokes a similar feel to this look from Marchesa's Spring 2011 collection, although that design featured three-dimensional folds embellished in silver. And while The Help star styled her gown with a bob of bouncy curls and jewelry by Cathy Waterman, she wasn't the only A-lister to don a white, wedding-worthy design last night.

Follow the jump to decide who wore the trend best.

There's more!

Bérénice Bejo sported the brilliantly bridal trend in a luminous lace sheath from Ralph Lauren adorned with pearlescent embellishments. The V-neckline and slinky silhouette create a dramatically different shape than the strapless, flowing Pucci gown the actress wore to the Golden Globes. So what will Bejo wear to the Oscars for her nominated role in The Artist? Anything she wants, it seems.

If of-the-moment trends are her thing, then perhaps Bejo will show a little lot of leg, like Glee starlet Lea Michele, who donned a pale gray Atelier Versace gown with a daringly high front-slit. Runways from ready-to-wear to bridal featured the stem-baring trend this season, including a similar one-shoulder look to Michele's gown from Ines di Santo. (See that design and more in our front-slit wedding gown slideshow.)

Other notable names in white at this year's SAGs included Zoe Saldana in Givenchy, Katrina Bowden in Amsale, Julianna Margulies in Calvin Klein, Tilda Swinton in Lanvin, and Rose Byrne in Elie Saab.

Who wore it best: Viola Davis, Bérénice Bejo, or Lea Michele?
