Designer Rachel Roy likes her shoes the way she likes her women: "I don't want shoes unless they are strong and sexy," she told WWD. "My collection is just that—strong and sexy. It represents the woman I want to be."
Brides on the hunt for strong-meets-sexy footwear can expect to see Roy's new line hit stores in August, with styles ranging from pumps to booties to flats priced between $200 and $600. Currently, Roy designs shoes for her younger Rachel Rachel Roy diffusion line for Macy's, but this higher-end mainline collection will offer more classic materials—like leather, suede, and pony hair—and more modern textures, prints, and colors, including neons, animal prints, gingham, and glitter.
