Wedding Cake of the Week:
Inspired by Ladurée

I distinctly remember my first visit to Ladurée—it was the Champs Elysées location of the Parisian patisserie and I felt positively giddy walking out of the shop with a dozen jewel-like French macaron cookies tucked inside a mint-colored box. Ladurée's iconic packaging was the inspiration for this couple's wedding cake—pastry artist Eve Lacabanne of Culinary Cakes created this celadon-hued confection, which was decorated with hand-piped gold swags and an edible cameo brooch. In addition to slices of cake, the couple served an assortment of macarons that had been shipped directly from Paris. —Heather Lee
