I stumbled across these amazing engagement ring photos on The Mary Sue and just had to share them with you. Reddit user Homerliwag was planning to propose to his Indiana Jones-loving girlfriend, but didn't want to give her a store-bought ring. Instead, he sketched a few ideas that incorporated Indy's iconic whip and brought the designs to a jeweler in Las Vegas.

"The thought of a coiled whip as the ring seemed perfect," he explains. And since yellow is the bride-to-be's favorite color: "I selected a fancy yellow diamond which also represents 'The Idol'." [Editor's Note: For you Indy novices, the groom is referring to a golden statue Indiana Jones retrieved from a booby-trapped temple in Raider's of the Lost Ark.]
