Most third-time brides opt for a subtle alternative to the traditional white gown, drawing on hues and silhouettes befitting their maturity. But then again, most third-timers aren't Halle Berry. With a body that defies her 45 years, the Oscar-winning actress can wear anything she chooses—which, if two decades of her red-carpet appearances have taught us anything, will likely be a sexy, figure-hugging gown.
Designers Elie Saab, Reem Acra, Versace, and Marchesa often dress the star, but we think this Vera Wang gown (above) best captures the spirit of Berry's style. Instantly feminine with a hard-edged sensuality, the design combines a black lace neckline with dramatically gathered tulle and a fitted silhouette. And even if Berry doesn't choose the gown for her wedding to Olivier Martinez, it's still a look we'd love on the actress come award season.

This front-slit gown by Ines di Santo (left) evokes Berry's softer side without, of course, sacrificing her sex appeal. This gown from Pronovias (center) makes a more glamorous statement, appealing to Berry's penchant for embellishment and streamlined skirts. But then again, being her third go down the aisle, the star might gravitate toward a less traditional shorter dress, like this tea-length lace design (right) by Marchesa.
