The excitement around the opening of the first U.S. Charlotte Olympia store in New York has been slowly building for some time. London-based shoe designer Charlotte Dellal, who was crowned Accessory Designer of the Year at the 2011 British Fashion Awards, has created a cult-like following with her '50s-inspired stacked heels, quirky designs, and signature spider web emblem on the sole. The store, which is rumored to be in the Upper East Side, was set to open during Fashion Week until yesterday we got word that the event is being postponed due to "unforeseen delays." That's the bad news.
The good news? We also discovered that she is introducing a bridal collection in April. (We can hardly contain ourselves!) While we don't have all the juicy details just yet, we do know that the canary yellow shoe pictured above will be available in white.
