6 Things to Snag at the
Elizabeth Taylor Auction

Unlike so many stars flush with Hollywood cash, Elizabeth Taylor knew how to spend on style. Housed within the same collection of her jewelry are an 1860s antique pearl-and-diamond necklace valued at $150,000 and a plastic neon ombré bib necklace produced some 100 years later for $300—though no less fabulous. The bounty of Taylor's taste for accessories will be auctioned at Christie's Dec. 13-16 in what can only be described as a milestone moment in estate sale shopping. To commemorate such an occasion (and because we can't resist a good vintage find), we selected the top six snag-worthy pieces from Taylor's catalogue of treasures:

1) Emilio Pucci print velvet dress with matching nylons, 1970s, $400 - $600

2) BVLGARI pear-shaped yellow diamond ear pendants approximately weighing 15.60 and 15.38 carats, 1960, $450,000 - $550,000

3) Valentino hot pink satin-and-feather evening bag with embellished serpent handle, 2000s, $500 - $700

4) Antique old mine-cut diamond and natural pearl necklace, 1860s, $100,000 - $150,000

5) Giorgio Armani silver and white beaded vest with silk trousers, 1980s-90s, $2,000 - $3,000

6) Bib necklace of round plastic beads in shades of neon yellow, orange and pink, 1960s-80s, $200 - $300
