With Christmas right around the corner, I put together a roundup of my favorite holiday-themed cakes that are perfect for December weddings. First up is a festive design (above) by Cakes by Roxanne featuring chocolate cake with dark-chocolate-and-peppermint ganache and butter cake with rum syrup and eggnog filling. The entire cake is covered in red fondant and decorated with gumpaste poinsettias.

This modern design (above) by Simply Sweet Cakery features peppermint buttercream-filled cake covered in fondant and decorated with red swirls, fresh red blooms, and peppermint-shaped ornaments.

This adorable snowman cake (above) by Miso Bakes is actually a DIY baking tutorial featured on The Cake Blog. Layer cakes are frosted and covered in coconut flakes and decorated with chocolate chips (for the face and buttons) and fondant cut-outs (mittens and scarf). Wouldn't it make a great winter-themed groom's cake?
