Spencer, a floral designer and event stylist, designed many of the wedding details herself, including the chuppah (which she and her matron of honor crafted from a bed canopy), the escort cards displayed on an easel, her hair accessory fashioned from a piece of lace from her mom's wedding gown, and the invitations, which she letterpressed herself at The Arm. "Shane referred to our wedding style as 'old timey'—basically an amalgam of different historical moments in New York," says Spencer, who also created the floral designs with help from her friend and fellow florist Elaina Pennola. The bride wore a Melissa Sweet gown and carried a bouquet of garden roses, nerine lilies, and ranunculeses.
