I stumbled upon this gorgeous frilly wedding cake while browsing Pinterest the other day. (Have you checked out this website? I immediately recognized the handiwork of Washington, DC-based cake designer Maggie Austin—her cakes are always stunningly beautiful and romantic. Here, sculptural sugar blossoms sit atop hand-ruffled black and white layers of buttercream icing. The end result is an utterly elegant cake with a bold and modern twist. —Heather Lee
