It's admittedly not the sexiest topic, but staying organized during the wedding-planning process is crucial. And if you're doing most of your wedding planning from your home computer, it makes sense to organize your magazine clippings, contracts, receipts, and business cards digitally. The obvious solution is a scanner, but the Neat system goes a step further. The desktop scanner and digital filing system uses a patented parsing technology that reads and extracts key information from the paper being scanned, which is then automatically organized and filed in your online database. So, for example, you could scan in all your wedding-related receipts and Neat would create a detailed expense report for you. You're able to tweak the digital filing system based on your preferences, and everything is keyword searchable and can be sent to applications like Excel. The technology comes in two forms—the NeatDesk ($399.95) is a desktop scanner, while the NeatReceipts ($199.95) offers portable scanning. Both products are available at Office Max, Staples, and Office Depot; find more information at neat.com. —Lauren Matthews
