Sneak Peek:
Jason Wu's Target Line

Wedding Dresses

Jason Wu—the fresh, Michelle Obama-anointed American designer—is the latest talent tapped by Target to design a collection for the store. (Adding to a roster that includes Rodarte, Zac Posen, Erin Fetherston, and most recently Missoni.) A released sketch from the collection reveals that at least one look reflects Wu's Spring 2012 line shown a few weeks ago in New York. That dress—a black, highnecked cocktail number—retains the effortless chic aesthetic the young designer has made his signature while filtering it through Target's affordable approach. And you know what that means? Come Feb. 5, when the collection hits stores, you'll have the perfect little black dress to wear at your rehearsal dinner... for, like, a mere $58. After the jump, watch a video in which Wu explains his design process and inspirations for the Target line. —Phillip B. Crook
