Change can be a beautiful thing. Rita Vinieris proved that point with her latest Rivini collection, which sent a parade of soft, sexy gowns down the runway—a marked departure from the design house's usual sleek, structured style. There was color, too—a painterly palette of soft pastel tones. Both a draped mermaid gown in elderberry-shaded organza and a pale peach chiffon beaded sheath had wow factors worthy of a red carpet. Retro-inspired details, like floaty, winged sleeves and plunging cowl backs, also made a strong showing on slinky gowns with an old-Hollywood vibe. For the bride who's feeling more saucy than siren, there was a mini-dress embellished with ostrich feathers—perfect for dancing at the after-party.
