Amanda & Anthony's Video
Save-the-Date

My friends Amanda and Anthony, who are getting married at the Green Building in Brooklyn next spring, emailed their wedding guests this week with a link to their save-the-date video (above), which I've replayed probably nine or ten times since. (It's so cute—they were in marching band! Awkward prom photos! And there's a pic of their pup Gus, the cutest English bulldog in the world!)

Amanda—who's blogging about the wedding-planning process at Lean Green Bride—says they opted for a video save-the-date because it was more budget-friendly and eco-conscious than paper cards. But, mostly, they felt that a video was the most creative way to share a little bit of their nearly 15-year history together with their wedding guests. "When you've known each other as long as Anthony and I have, there's just too much good material (read: really embarrassing decade-old photos) not to use," says Amanda, who created the video on her MacBook using iPhoto. Their wedding next March is going to be full of many other DIY details—I can't wait! —Heather Lee
