Video of the Week:
From the Best Man's Perspective

Video: Ben Zweig

Most wedding videos depict a couple's celebration either from their own perspective or that of a videographer, who artfully portrays the story from multiple angles. Ben Zweig, however, painted an entirely new picture. For his brother Josh's wedding at the new National Museum of American Jewish History, Ben shot footage of the day's events as the best man—a point of view not often highlighted in the wedding genre. Here we see Ben moving through the day, from getting ready with the groom and groomsmen to waiting for the ceremony to begin to gettin' down on the dance floor. And, when you think about it, seeing a wedding through the best man's eyes provides unique access to an intimate affair. It's not like just anyone can capture that look in great-aunt Zora's eyes that says, "Get over here and let me give you a kiss." —Phillip B. Crook
