I loathe the word magical (in the same way Madonna loathes hydrangeas). But I'm afraid there's simply no other way to describe Mireille and Patrick's wedding in Harare, Zimbabwe featured over at Junebug Weddings. The couple hosted the celebration in the gardens surrounding their home, which inspired an old-world design motif that married Out of Africa with Swan Lake. (A magical pairing, really.) Working from a palette of sepia tones taken from the African landscape, Mireille and Patrick injected unexpected pops of vibrancy into their décor with exotic wildlife (two cheetahs and a sprinkling of swans), a horse-drawn carriage, a gauzy white tent, a belly dancer, and a performance by the South African National Ballet. So maybe that's the new litmus test for determining if a wedding is magical: it needs at least two cheetahs. —Phillip B. Crook
