Who didn't see this coming? David's Bridal plans to produce two of Kim Kardashian's three Vera Wang wedding dresses, which will appear in selects salons by February as part of the David's Bridal White by Vera Wang line. Interpretations of the strapless basque-waisted gown Kim wore down the aisle and the mermaid dress she donned for her first dance will each be priced around $1,600. The first gown took ten women three months to hand-appliqué lace onto the bodice, train and veil, although the David's replica obviously won't be as detailed.
"There is a certain classicism to the first, and that wasn't about a huge fashion statement," Wang told E! "I think it's very romantic, and that was what we were really after. It will certainly capture that sense of old-fashioned romance." As for the mermaid number, it was "very Kim. That dress was all about her body... and the fact that she wanted to be very seductive for that first dance with Kris." —Phillip B. Crook
