Elizabeth Taylor's Wedding Dresses to be Auctioned

The woman famous for her stable of marriages will once again make headlines when two of her wedding gowns are auctioned this December—at least that's the expectation when something Elizabeth Taylor touched goes up for sale. The star's dresses from her 1964 and 1975 weddings to Richard Burton are part of the 400-piece collection (including shoes, bags, and accessories) from her 79 years that Christie's will auction in New York. The first wedding gown is expected to fetch between $40,000 and $60,000. And while that dress is considered the highlight of the sale, a ruby-and-diamond necklace Taylor designed herself will likely out price the other items, with an estimated cost of up to $3 million. —Phillip B.
