I've been on a bit of a "rustic" kick—weddings at farms, barns, and ranches usually have a relaxed-yet-elegant vibe that I love. This cake, by UK-based Anna Tyler Cakes, would be be the perfect dessert to complement a rustic-themed celebration. Each tier of the buttercream-frosted cake is wrapped in a swatch of burlap and embellished with cream-colored cotton ribbon. The look is simple yet chic, and is likely much less expensive than traditional cake decorating techniques. Source the materials online yourself, then ask your cake baker to incorporate them into the design. (You can purchase yards of burlap in bulk (for about $2/yard) and spools of cotton ribbon from my favorite notions vendor Angela Liguori.) —Heather Lee
