Video of the Week:
Jackie & Jesse Same Day Edit

Video: Rob Adams Films

Yes, it really is supposed to be that skinny. But don't let this video's small size fool you, because—as they say—sometimes the best things come in small packages. For Jackie and Jesse's same day edit, New Jersey-based videographer Rob Adams wanted to use an anamorphic aspect ratio, which is fancy-pantsy way of saying he wanted a much wider screen than the standard 16:9 widescreen. Adams created the anamorphic effect in post production, "a tedious workflow but so worth it when you see the difference it makes in the film," he says on his blog. And it's true, Adams' skilled cinematography and editing combine with the wider ratio to create a wedding video that would be more at home in a theater than a reception hall. Of course, the fact that Jesse cries as Jackie recites her vows to him doesn't hurt either. —Phillip B. Crook
