Ali and Bart wanted to host their reception by the water, and knew the first time they visited the Branford House Mansion that it would be the perfect place. "We could definitely see ourselves getting married there, which wasn't the case with other venues we visited," says Ali. She wore a lace Marisa gown. The ceremony, held on the mansion's lawn, was officiated by Justice of the Peace Mary Tyler Wiley. Cocktail hour took place on the venue's wraparound patio. Later, guests headed into a separate tent to listen to speeches and toasts, then proceeded to the main hall for dinner. "I wanted the reception to be elegant but not stuffy, and the bright colors definitely upped the fun factor," says Ali, who planned the wedding with the help of Erica Kates of Ambiance Chic Wedding Designs.
