Philadelphia restaurateur Stephen Starr—the man behind much-celebrated restaurants like Buddakan and Morimoto—is launching an extension of his catering and event planning division, STARR Events, in New York City. Couples can hire STARR Events to bring their delicious and inventive cuisine (as well as rentals, decor, and floral design) to any off-site location in the area, but the company will also be the exclusive caterer at the New York Historical Society's newly renovated Robert H. Clarice Smith New York Gallery of American History.
Housed in the museum's landmark building on Central Park West, the elegant space features vaulted ceilings, inlaid stone floors, a grand marble staircase, and can seat up to 250. Guests will also be able to browse the collection of artwork and artifacts focusing on the history and culture of New York City—what better way to show off the city to out-of-towners?
