Vera Wang is having quite the week, what with all the Kim K. chatter, the addition of bridesmaids dresses to her line for David's Bridal, and the long-awaited move of her studio to a giant Madison Square Park location. But the latest news breaking from VW headquarters today is the designer's partnership with Zales, wherein Wang will create more than 50 engagement rings with the jeweler. Each of the rings will include a signature blue sapphire (à la Duchess Kate?) and will retail starting at $1,999 for engagement rings and $649 for wedding bands. The partnership, Vera Wang Group president Mario Grauso told WWD, is intended to pair with her budding David's Bridal relationship. "Vera now wants to complete the story of the David's bride," he said. "Zales is an obvious place for us to go to do engagement rings and wedding bands... because of their reach across the United States, which is similar to David's." The rings will hit stores in October. —Phillip B. Crook
