Mind-Blowing Gems

Jewelry & Accessories

I recently attended an editors event at the iconic luxury jeweler's 5th Avenue at 57th Street store to preview its new collections. First, I was greeted in a lounge area filled with elegant, chocolate-brown seating, a rainbow of accent pillows, and a grouping of vibrant flowers displayed in assorted Tiffany & Co. bone china vases (5). Two publicists then walked me through the various new collections, all displayed in glass cases set up in a series of thoughtfully art-directed chambers. My hosts gamely let me try on a pear-shaped pink diamond ring valued at a million dollars and snap photos of my favorite pieces, from Jean Schlumberger's Conique necklace (a garland of "flowers" formed by pavé-diamond petals and red spinel centers) to a delicate little silver bracelet with a single Tiffany-blue bead from Elsa Peretti. My other favorites are showcased here, and I've included their (mighty impressive) specs below. —Amy Elliott
