If any bride wanted to evoke Grace Kelly's lace-sleeved wedding style, you'd think it would be another Princess of Monaco (*cough* not England). But when Charlene Wittstock married Princess Grace's son, Prince Albert II, on Saturday, she opted instead for a sleek, sleeveless silk duchess column by Giorgio Armani Privé. The gown featured a 15-foot train, gold-tinted Swarovski crystals and white mother of pearl teardrops embroidered in a floral design, and a twisted, off-the-shoulder neckline. The Italian couturier has been dressing Wittstock, a South African Olympic swimmer, since she began appearing in public with the Prince. And because Armani tends to design with a cleaner, less-is-more aesthetic, it seems Dutchess Kate can keep borrowing all the Grace Kelly thunder she wants. —Phillip B. Crook
