Just in case a wedding onboard the Titanic wasn't out-of-the-box enough for you, now you can get married (approximately) 164 feet aboveground. And (thankfully) strapped into a harness. Marriage in the Sky offers couples with a taste for heights the chance to wed "a little closer to angels." Suspended from a crane, the 32-foot-long platform allows you and 20 guests to participate in a custom-designed ceremony anywhere in the world. Want to get married above the Grand Canyon or overlooking Venice or hoisted toward a blanket of stars? All doable for the Marriage in the Sky team, which also operates Dinner in the Sky, Meeting in the Sky, and Showbizz in the Sky. The last is likely the reason why a second platform and crane are also available, complete with entertainment, as your reception site—that is, following your bungee cord dismount from the ceremony. —Phillip B.
