Just because the cover says "April" doesn't mean the BRIDES fashion department is shooting in spring temps. To bring you seasonally appropriate fantasies, we sometimes have the tough job of having to shoot far from home. For this month's "The Long Weekend" story, which we shot in November, we went to the Caribbean isle of Anguilla. (I know—poor us.) We lugged dozens of trunks full of dresses, jewelry, and shoes on planes and small ferries to get to our location, the Viceroy Anguilla. Our crew was up at 6 a.m. each morning, prepping for 12-hour days of shooting. The result: effortlessly breezy gowns and crisp white beach cover-ups against the backdrop of a deep turquoise ocean. We weren't the only ones who found the location enchanting—we actually witnessed one groom-to-be preparing a candlelit proposal for his lucky lady. So romantic!
